While I was writing this book I had every intention in keeping it fiction,
but during the story telling phase I realized in order to flesh out a real
character who could appeal to real people, I had to breathe life into the
nostrils and give substance of this character from my own breath. Some of
the stories are similar to experiences that I had. I did not intend to use
this approach for sympathy, but for strength. I want to be a beacon of
hope for children and young adults to use as a pillar of strength during
times of despair. We all have had our share of tragedies but it does not
mean that we should use those incidents as a crutch to gain sympathy but
we should use it as a marker to gage how far we have come.
This inspiration should give us the promise of continuance
in excellence to live abound and not abased. Every scar each of us bare
should be a road map to success using the formula of perseverance plus
determination equaling success. Giving is a truly wonderful thing and to
give someone your truth as you live out your fantasy of life because you
overcame is the gift for someone else’s tragedy to be a message of victory
and absolute free conscious to love.
